The indie sensation Schedule 1 has taken the gaming world by storm—and now we’re finally getting a clearer picture of where it’s headed. Developed by a single person under the name TVGS, the early access title quickly became a massive hit, even peaking at over 400,000 concurrent players on Steam shortly after launch.

Despite the game’s early success, fans have wondered what the future might realistically look like with just one developer at the helm. Fortunately, Tyler—the creator behind Schedule 1—has been anything but idle. In just the first month since release, he’s rolled out several updates, some fixing bugs and others introducing entirely new features. The most recent Easter weekend patch, for instance, added the ability to access an employee’s inventory directly—just one of many quality-of-life improvements.

What’s Coming to Schedule 1

So what exactly is in the works? Tyler revealed several exciting developments during the stream:

A new purchasable location is currently being developed.

Fans can look forward to expanded lore, including a bigger role for fan-favorite character Uncle Nelson.

A major content update is on the horizon—and this time, players get to decide what it will include. Tyler is letting the community vote between three themes: police raids, cartel wars, or a new drug type called shrooms.

This level of transparency and fan engagement is rare and refreshing—and it’s clearly resonating with the Schedule 1 community.

Expanding the Dev Team

While Tyler has been the one-man powerhouse behind the game, he’s finally bringing in reinforcements. He’s now looking to hire a community manager, an artist, and a QA tester to help support the game’s growing needs. That means faster updates, more content, and (hopefully) less burnout for the solo dev.

Given the size and scope Schedule 1 has reached, it makes perfect sense. And honestly? It’s exciting to think what this project could become with even a small team behind it.
