🚗 Getting Your First Car in inZOI: A Beginner’s Driving Guide

One of the cool things about inZOI is the ability to own and drive your own car. Whether you want to cruise through the city or just make getting around a bit easier, here’s everything you need to know to get started with driving in inZOI.

🧭 How to Buy Your First Car

Getting a car is super simple.

  1. Press “P” on your keyboard to open your phone.

  2. Tap on the Dream Car app.

  3. Browse the available vehicles — from sleek sedans to black SUVs.

  4. Choose your car and purchase it.

🛑 You can only own one car per household. If you want a new one, you’ll need to sell your current car first.

Once you’ve made your pick, your car will appear parked right outside your house, ready to roll.

🔐 Car Ownership & Access

Only the person who bought the car can drive it.

  • If someone else in your household tries to drive it, they’ll get a message saying they’re not the owner.

  • They’ll have to ride in the passenger seat while the owner drives.

So, if you’re planning a family road trip, make sure your main character is the one behind the wheel!

⚙️ Automatic vs. Manual Driving

inZOI gives you two ways to drive:

🛣️ Automatic Driving (Fast Travel)

  • Open the Map.

  • Pick a destination (like the Music Park).

  • Your car will automatically drive you there.

🕹️ Manual Driving (For the Hands-On Driver)

  1. Go to Settings > Gameplay.

  2. Turn on Manual Driving.

  3. Apply the changes.

Manual driving gives you more control, though the driving physics aren’t as realistic as GTA or racing games — it’s more about the fun than the realism.

🧼 Car Features & Fun Interactions

Cars in inZOI may not be lightning-fast, but they come with some quirky features:

  • Sound the horn with a mouse click.

  • Switch views: Press Tab for first-person, and use your mouse to look around.

  • Take selfies with your car.

  • Open/close windows individually.

  • Turn on emergency lights.

  • Wash and repair your vehicle as needed.

  • Drive with the trunk open (yes, really).

💥 Crashes & Accidents

  • Hitting objects like signs or walls won’t damage your car.

  • Colliding with moving vehicles can trigger a minor accident.

    • You’ll get an alert.

    • Your character may become upset.

    • There’s no karma penalty, even with multiple crashes.

Some pedestrians may react dramatically if you hit them — others might not react at all.

🧽 Maintenance & Swapping Cars

Cars don’t require gas or deep maintenance, but you can:

  • Wash and repair them for aesthetics.

  • Sell your current car anytime and choose a new one (like a zippier Zcar or a stylish blue hatchback).

🚲 Fun fact: You can’t ride bikes yet, and your car won’t stay where you left it. Once you get out, it teleports back to your home. A little quirky, but that’s how it works for now.

🌊 Things You Can’t Do (Yet)

  • Drive into oceans or down certain staircases (you’ll hit invisible walls).

  • Close the trunk from inside the car.

  • Keep the car parked away from home permanently.

  • Ride bikes or add passengers as active drivers.

Still, there’s a lot of charm in the system — from flashy lights to nice interior views.

Driving in inZOI isn’t super advanced, but it adds a fun layer to the simulation. Whether you’re cruising to your job or just showing off your car in selfies, it’s worth exploring. And as the game updates (or with mods), you’ll likely see even more features added down the road.

So buckle up, pick your ride, and hit the virtual streets in style!
