Third major patch this month continues to polish the early access life sim
InZOI Studio is keeping the updates coming for its early access life simulation game, InZOI. Just two weeks after its last patch, the dev team has released a fresh hotfix on April 15, bringing with it a range of quality-of-life improvements, bug fixes, and a brand-new free camera feature in Build Mode.
Free Camera and Build Mode Just Got Better
One of the standout features in this latest patch is the addition of a free camera in Build Mode. Players can now toggle this new option to navigate their builds using standard WASD controls, offering a smoother and more flexible construction experience. Alongside this, the default Build Mode camera has also seen some improvements for better usability and control.
Visual Tweaks: Shadows and Character Models Upgraded
InZOI has earned a reputation for its high-end visuals, but that hasn’t stopped the studio from continuing to refine the game’s graphics. This update enhances shadow casting for both outdoor streetlights and indoor lighting, giving environments a more natural and immersive look. Character visuals have also been touched up, with tweaks designed to reduce the inconsistency between how Zois appear in Character Studio versus in the live game.
A Quick Look Back: April 4 Patch Highlights
Earlier this month, InZOI Studio released a major patch on April 4 that finally addressed one of the community’s top complaints: aging. Players now have the option to prevent their Zois from aging, which had previously been happening far too quickly. That update also tackled several gameplay bugs — including Zois sleeping excessively, relationship points escalating too fast, and strange behavior around food preparation.
What’s Next: Roadmap Teases Major May Content Drop
While the April 15 update doesn’t include brand-new content, fans won’t have to wait long. According to InZOI Studio’s post-launch roadmap, the game’s first major content update is slated for May. Players can look forward to in-game cheat codes, relationship system enhancements, an adoption mechanic, Build Mode upgrades, new outfit options, and more.
Future updates are also lined up for August and October, with even more features and content planned to keep the InZOI world evolving.
